I pray for you, Barb – daily. I am so sorry for all the pain. What a wonderful testimony to you ~ how your family and friends shower you with prayers and love. I don’t know you well – but know of you, and know what a character you are – such a strong woman, and such humor – even through all this. Know you are in my heart and I will continue to pray. Barb…Well…I think we are all seeing that you have begun to define toughness and tenacity! Since God won’t give you more than you can handle, He surely has faith in you! Possibly even He didn’t bargain that you would be able to endure this much! Though I wouldn’t wish your suffering on my worst enemy, I am humbled by your strength of spirit, and I learn from it each day. And, although it pains me greatly to say it…I am glad the Hawks won and that the men in your house are happy. I have to smile… in addition to Katie’s children my Owen -6 and twin girls -4 are in Barb’s Children’s army too and pray for you everynight Barb. They also ask where you live and that they want to go to your house and play. You truly are in the hearts of young and old Barb! You are an amazing inspriration to me and your army that has moved me and mountains. I hope and pray today is a better day for you and your family. several weeks ago i asked my boys (parker, now almost 5! and hudson, 3) to say a prayer with me for my friend, barb…ever since, parker (the oldest) has been adding you to his bedtime prayer. last night, this is what he said (pardon the improper grammar…)”dear Jesus, please help my mommy’s friend, barb, to not be sick no more so they can play again.” you continue to be in the thoughts of young & old, near & far…hoping you can feel the power of all of our prayers for you- love you, friend!
