Radiation Begins Monday
Dear Barb’s Army,
I’m BACK from Italy! What a great trip Ken and I had for our 25th wedding anniversary! I want to thank Katie for doing the posts while I was gone!
Here is the latest: Barb will start radiation on Monday on her back, and they are going to zap her hard to try and give her some relief from ALL the horrific back pain. Radiation will last 10-20 days depending on how she tolerates it. On Tuesday, July 27th Barb will have a small dose of Abraxane chemotherapy as well. As soon as Barb is done with radiation she will begin a regimen of Abraxane/Gemzar chemotherapy. This is the plan as of right now. The antibiotic seems to be working on the infection in the bile duct. This is good news.
Obviously, keep Barb in your prayers. Her back pain is excruciating. PRAY hard that she gets some relief from the back pain with the radiation.
